Open American highway at dusk

The Story

Trucker by Trade, Songwriter by Soul

Robert Dean Farley performing live

Carrabelle, Florida

Home base

Robert Dean Farley was raised across the Southeast and Southwestern United States, and now calls Carrabelle, Florida home. He spends his days hauling freight across America's highways, and his nights spinning those miles into music.

From the driver's seat, Robert has watched this country pass by in every season and every light — the long flat stretches of the Southwest, the pine forests of the South, the rust-belt towns of the Midwest. Every mile is a verse. Every stop is a chorus. The road doesn't just inspire his music; it is his music.

His sound is a raw, authentic blend of classic outlaw country, blues, and soul — heavily inspired by the legendary Bakersfield Sound. Think Buck Owens and Merle Haggard filtered through the wide open highways of the American Southwest. Honest, working-class music with no pretense and no apology.

Robert is an ASCAP registered songwriter. His debut 12-song studio album, American Musical Gumbo, is out now on all major platforms via DistroKid. New tracks are in the works — pre-save links coming soon.

Safe travels, and thanks for listening.
